In our house there is an annual event that is as exciting as Christmas Day – the kids count down to it with the same excitement, don’t sleep the night before and get up really early in the morning to make sure they don’t miss a second. I’m talking about the day we go to see Disney On Ice at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena. This year will be extra special as it’s the first time my three year old will get to accompany me and his big sister to the ice extravaganza.WP_000046

This year’s Worlds of Enchantment show (6-11 October at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena) is billed as ‘the hottest ticket in town’ and with appearances by the princesses of the moment, Anna and Elsa, as well as Olaf and Kristoff, my Frozen-mad family is in for a treat. We’re also promised appearances by Little Mermaid Ariel, Lightning McQueen and his friends from Disney Pixar’s Cars and the crew from Toy Story 3.

The appearance of Elsa and Anna has made this year’s show the quickest selling Disney on Ice show since its take on High School Musical in 2007 but I am assured there are still lots of great seats left in Newcastle if you want to join us in enjoying the show.
